The intervention
The technique used is  called Instrumental Enrichment (IE).         

IE helps help children and adults overcome  difficulties and blocks, in learning and  functioning.

What is Instrumental Enrichment?

Instrumental Enrichment is used to help people overcome difficulties associated with variety of situations. These include but are not limited to:

Difficulties in communication and expression,
Difficulties in organisation,
Brain injuries,
Mild learning disablities,
Severe learning disabilities,
Emotional issues, Trauma
ADD, ADHD,
Autism,
Strokes,
Prader-Willi syndrome, Down's syndrome
Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Dyscalculia,
Underachievement of gifted people



Who is it for?
Instrumental Enrichment is a cognitive intervention programme.  It corrects problems in basic thinking skills; creates a longer attention span; improves concentration; and rebuilds cognitive pathways in the brain.

It is provided by a trained mediator and is practiced at on an individual basis and with small groups.

The programme  was started in Israel by Professor Reuven Feuerstein. 
It has been used successfully in more than 80 countries in the last 60 years.
